3rd Day Rising

In the 90’s I played for a few years in a band called 3rd Day Rising. The band cut two CDs, the first one before I joined and the second, ‘Spiral’ in 1999. Shortly after it’s release we had a bit of a line-up shuffle and in 2000 we recorded just three tracks.

Two of these tracks were never released and the third was included on a tribute album that had a small commercial release.

I dug the tracks up this week and have posted them to bandcamp as a free download.

I hope you decide to go and get them, because I still think they are great songs.

While you’re there it’s the perfect opportunity for you to gorge yourself on all my other recordings, all are free or Pay What You Want downloads.

For a couple of years now I’ve wanted to have a bash at Movember, this year I’ve taken the plunge.

For those of you who may not have heard about this before, during November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

On November 1st I will be starting with a clean shaven face, and for the whole month I will be growing and grooming my moustache. I haven’t worn one for quite a few years so I’m wondering what it’s going to look like, I’m expecting it to be whitish grey but no idea whether I can pull off a decent growth or not.

If you’d like to you can sponsor my efforts by going to my Mobro Page and donating some money.

One of my colleagues at work has pledged to have a pink mohican if he raises £500, and he’s over halfway there already!

Hope you can help

Loads of gigs!

The Tim Crahart Blues Band unconsciously took the month of October off from playing live. That gave us a breathing space before November which has gotten a bit out of hand:

1oth November: a church gig in Blackwood somewhere, details sketchy

15th November: a return visit to the Troubadour Club in Morriston, always a great night

25th November: a (possible – tbc) support slot for Larry Miller at Bogiez in Cardiff

29th November: a return visit to Fagin’s in Taffs Well, another great music pub.

30th November: A gig for the National Autistic Society in Cardiff

Hope to see some of you at some of these.
